Ever since we are kids we learn how to groom ourselves. When we prepare ourselves for an important business meeting we always try to look our best in order to create a good impression.
I check my Facebook, Twitter, Where to Buy LinkedIn Account only from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The same rule I strongly abide to for my email also applies in this case: no peeping at social networks outside allowed times.
11. Twitter: ugh. Yes, LinkedIn will allow you to stream your tweets into your profile. I say ugh because I caution you as this can become annoying. I am not a fan of this feature as I find it clutters the page as most tweets are inane at best and often times out of context and offer no real value. Each person is different and it might work for you but I would exercise caution here.
Capture interest and email addresses by offering a newsletter. Stay in touch with people who have visited your website. Keep them informed of what’s happening. Let them know about deals and give them useful information. They will keep coming back and some will develop into your best customers.
Content: this email is similar to a newsletter in that, you don’t want to gloat about your company but rather, provide some valuable information. Shift the focus off of what you offer and onto what you can help with, if they are having a problem. Add information about a great business book you read, or blog, or a free event that is being held soon.
Participate in groups. There are groups for any and every purpose. Small business groups will put you in connection with a number of like-minded entrepreneurs. There are also industry specific groups that will allow you to find those in the same business. Start group discussions, and participate in others’ group discussions. If you like another person’s answer, let them know, and follow them. Keep talking.
Build Authority Content. Submit unique blogs and articles to sites that have good authority. You can look for good high authority site in your niche. Many of these site have hundreds of thousands of visitors per day and you can easily get your article ranking high on Google with these sites. Very often you can get a high Google ranking in these site before you start ranking with your homepage. So this is a great way to feed visitors to your homepage site.
Twitter is also known to quickly shut down accounts that are suspicious, so don’t be too aggressive. The good thing about Twitter is that most of the tools are either free, or have a free option.
